Joe L. Pierce age 71, of Jamestown, Kentucky passed from this life on Friday, June 11, 2021 at his home. He was born on August 24, 1949 in Jamestown, son of the late Ray Pierce and Lura Elmore Pierce.
Joe was a hardworking man and enjoyed farming especially working around cattle. He was a Lineman for the Duo Telephone Company for over 30 years prior to his retirement. and will be remembered for his kind-heartedness and generosity.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Elvin Pierce and two siblings that died in infancy.
He is survived by his wife; Joyce Wells Pierce of Jamestown, 2 sons; Timmy Pierce and Tracy Pierce both of Jamestown, two brothers; Donald (Charlotte) Pierce of Arlington, Virginia and Wayne (Judy) Pierce of Anderson, Indiana, three grandchildren; Jacob (Tiffany) Pierce of Jamestown, T. J. Pierce of Atlanta, Georgia and Austin Pierce of Jamestown, three great-grandchildren; Jonathon, Jasmine and Jayden as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held from 1:00 pm to 2 pm on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at the H. E. Pruitt Funeral Home in Jamestown, Kentucky
