The Adair County Sheriff’s Department responded to 951 calls to 911 during August, according to the agency’s monthly activity report released by Sheriff Gary Roy.
Deputies served 76 arrest warrants, opened four criminal cases and worked 14 domestic abuse cases. The department also investigated 16 traffic crashes and handled 11 alcohol- or drug-related incidents.
During the month, deputies issued 32 citations for criminal activity and served 60 civil process papers, 50 subpoenas and 16 criminal summonses.
The department also responded to 21 animal complaints, provided 12 motorist assists and completed eight out-of-county transports.
Deputies provided a total of 280 hours of court security during August for Adair Circuit and District courts.
