The Russell County Lady Laker Basketball program has a new member in the 1,000 point club.
Senior Star Marcum joined the prestigious group Tuesday night with a layup in the fourth quarter of Russell County’s 58-35 win over Cumberland County in the 16th District Tournament.
Marcum finished the night with 22 points, pushing her over 1,000 points for her career with the Lady Lakers.
Fellow senior Juliah Bault is also a member of the 1,000 point club, reaching the milestone earlier this season.
Bault and Marcum, the only seniors on the Lady Lakers roster, are the top two scorers for the Lady Lakers this season, with both averaging more than 14 points per game.
