The Russell County High School girls soccer team, in their first year of varsity competition, won their first ever district game Monday evening, defeating Clinton County 2 to 1 in Albany. Coach Kirsty Chapman’s team will now play Monroe County Tuesday evening for the district championship. Kick off for that game is at 5:30 Tuesday at Clinton County High School. The boys soccer team will take on Monroe county tonight in the district final. The game will kick off at 8 o’clock at Clinton county. Best of luck to the boys soccer team as well.
