Corbin Police have arrested a Russell Springs man following an investigation involving two juvenile girls.
Authorities say the girls contacted police from a Whitley County Walmart on August 19th after Baseler Lafrance allegedly refused repeated requests to take them back home. Investigators say Lafrance had connected with the girls through a dating website and misrepresented his identity by using another person’s photographs.
Police allege Lafrance offered the juveniles money for sexual acts. Officers also reportedly found sexually explicit images of the girls on his phone.
Lafrance was charged with prostitution, unlawful transaction with a minor and possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
He remains lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
