Russell County Falls to LaRue County Friday Night 45-7

The Russell County Lakers fell to the LaRue County Hawks 45-7 Friday night.

Russell County quarterback Tanner Stringer accounted for the Lakers’ lone touchdown and finished with 53 rushing yards on 15 carries. Through the air, Stringer completed 15 of 25 passes for 119 yards with one interception.

Christian Williams led the Laker receiving corps with nine catches for 41 yards. As a team, Russell County finished with 70 rushing yards and was penalized six times for 55 yards.

LaRue County generated 419 yards of total offense, including 214 yards on the ground. Hawks quarterback Brady Abell completed 17 of 19 passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns. Braylin McDowell caught eight passes for 125 yards and two scores, while Romeo Bartolomei rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.
