Kentucky volleyball coach Craig Skinner believes incoming freshman Bryah Breaux could be the best athlete in the 2026 recruiting class. The 6-foot-5 Breaux also ran track and played basketball before settling on volleyball as her main sport despite being older than many players when she took up the sport.
In high school her service pressure was good but her mother, Brandy, expects that to improve even more at Kentucky.
“If they can get her serving at her highest touch it will be lights out,” Brandy Breaux said. “Kentucky is known for its development of top players. Now with the transfer portal some coaches are dipping in there rather than trusting kids you recruit. Craig is about developing athletes.”
All-American Brooklyn DeLeye is back for her senior season at UK and Brandy Breaux thinks she is the perfect role model for her daughter.
“Brooklyn is so smart. She will learn a lot from her IQ-wise. She is a dynamic attacker. She knows where to put the ball. Bryah will get to learn from her a whole year,” Breaux’s mother said.
