The Russell County Middle School Baseball and Softball teams fell to Adair County in their respective conference tournaments on Saturday.
The Lakers started the day with a 13-3 victory over Campbellsville. Aaron McGowan led the Lakers with a team-high 3 hits in the game. Brantley Turner, Jacob Fudge, and Grayson Carman each drove in 2 runs.
In the conference championship, Russell County fell to Adair County 15-9. McGowan led the way for Russell County in that one with 3 hits and 3 runs batted in.
Jacob Fudge, Asher Bennett and Brantley Turner were named All-Conference.
In softball, the Lady Lakers fell to Adair County 6-4.
Sydney Dykes finished with a team-high 2 hits and Brystol Smith drove in a team-high 3 runs.
Molly Clark and Lillian Davis were named to the All-Conference Team.
