The Russell County High School Baseball and Softball teams picked up victories in their respective spring break events yesterday.
The Laker Baseball team defeated Halifax County 10-7. Raylan McAninch finished the game with a team-high 3 hits. Tanner Stringer finished with 2 hits and 2 RBI. Alden Brumley and Walker Stephens drove in 2 runs each.
The Lady Laker Softball team picked up a 7-3 win in Fort Walton yesterday.
Madelyn Roy led the Lady Lakers with a team-high 3 hits and 2 runs batted in. Rylen McGowan and Mikenzie McClure each finished the game with 2 hits.
The Lady Lakers are back in action again today, taking on Ballard.
The Lakers return home to host Whitley County on Thursday.
