Russell County Soccer Teams Split Matches with Taylor County

The Russell County boys soccer teams split their matches against Taylor County.

The Laker junior varsity team earned a 1-nothing victory. Ethan Schuning scored in the 28th minute, and the Russell County defense made the lead stand for the remainder of the match to secure the shutout.

In varsity action, the Lakers battled hard but fell to a strong Taylor County team, 5-nothing. Russell County goalkeeper Xavion Russell recorded 11 saves in the loss.
