Russell County School Board Chairman Richard Kazsuk has been elected regional director of the Middle Cumberland Region of the Kentucky School Boards Association.
Kazsuk was elected to a three-year term during the region’s fall meeting Monday evening in Campbellsville.
The Middle Cumberland Region represents 13 school districts, including Russell County, Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Taylor and Wayne counties, along with the Campbellsville, Science Hill and Somerset independent districts.
As regional director, Kazsuk will represent those districts on the KSBA Board of Directors. The position also helps coordinate regional training, encourages cooperation among local school boards and provides a voice for the region in the association’s statewide leadership and decision-making.
