Lady Lakers Place Fourth at Fort Knox Golf Tournament

The Russell County Lady Laker golf team placed fourth among 11 teams during competition Saturday, August 29th at Lindsey Golf Course at Fort Knox, earning additional points toward the All-State standings.

Carleen Meyers led Russell County with an 81, followed by Carly Shearer with an 84, Karly Stapp with an 89, Catherine Wright with a 90 and Porter Branscum with a 92.

Taylor Catron recorded a new personal-best score of 101. Addison Hopper finished with a 106, while Carly Wilson shot a 117.

The Lady Lakers return to competition Saturday at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson in Columbia.
