Russell County Golf Competes at London and Monticello

The Russell County High School boys golf team competed in a pair of weekend tournaments.

At Saturday’s South Laurel Invitational at London Country Club, the Lakers recorded a team score of 344. Gabe Browning led Russell County with an 83. Grider Selby and Grant Wilson each shot an 86, while Gavin Campbell finished with an 89.

The Lakers improved their team score by 21 strokes Sunday, posting a 323 at the Stewart Gregory Memorial at Monticello Country Club. Browning and Wilson led the team with matching rounds of 79. Campbell shot an 81, and Josiah Dudgeon recorded an 84.

Other weekend competitors included Collin Meyers, Raylan McAnich, Riggs Richardson and Conner Morrison.
