Lady Laker Softball scores district win at Monroe

The Lady Laker Softball team picked up a district win on the road at Monroe County yesterday by a score of 13-2.

Emma Wilson hit a grand slam for Russell County in the victory. Paisley Eads and Brylie Hardwick each drove in 2 runs for the Lady Lakers. Eads, Miley Rankins, Rylen McGowan, and Addy Abrell each finished with 2 hits.

Brylie Hardwick struck out 8 batters in six innings of work pitching, giving up just 2 runs (1 earned).

The Lady Lakers now prepare to compete in Fort Walton, Florida on Spring Break.
