It’s been a busy year for the Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department.
At last week’s city council meeting, Fire Chief Bobby Johnson reported the department has responded to more than 350 calls this year.
Last month, the fire department responded to 34 calls.
Johnson said the department has been involved with 9 special events over the last quarter. These special events include teaching fire safety at schools, headstart, and daycares.
