Two local entities decreased their property tax rate at Monday’s fiscal court meeting.
The fiscal court approved the compensating rate for county property taxes at the meeting, which slightly lowers the county’s property tax rate. The health department also announced its slightly lowering its property tax rate.
Judge Executive Randy Marcum said those moves are good news for county taxpayers.
The motion to lower the county’s property tax rate was unanimously approved by the fiscal court.
