A plea agreement has been reached with a Russell Springs man charged with rape, incest, and other charges.
An agreement was entered in Russell Circuit Court this week between the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and 55-year-old David Ray Holderfield this week. As part of the agreement, Holderfield was sentenced to 25 years on the charges.
Holderfield is charged with multiple sex crimes against a minor, including rape first degree with the victim under 12 years of age, two counts of sexual abuse first degree, incest, and two counts of unlawful transaction with a minor first degree victim under 16.
Holderfield was indicted in April 2024. The indictment stated the crimes took place as early as September 2006 and as recently as January 2024.
Holderfield remains lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
