Groundbreaking date set for SEED Academy

A groundbreaking date is set for the SEED Academy.

The Russell County Industrial Development Authority and Russell County Schools will host a groundbreaking on Friday, May 9 at 1 p.m.

The SEED Academy will be located on French Valley Road.

The academy will provide courses focusing on topics such as livestock management, animal and plant science, agricultural inspection, greenhouse management, and more.

The facility will include more than 31,000 square feet of classroom, laboratory, greenhouse, livestock, and administrative space.
