Local gas prices have been on the rise, but still remain below state average.
According to AAA, the average price of gas in Russell County comes in at $2.70.
That’s just under 10 cents higher than last week.
Local prices remain quite a bit lower than state average. According to AAA, the average price statewide comes in at around $2.83.
Prices in Russell County are lower than many neighboring counties as well. Prices in Casey, Clinton, Pulaski and Wayne counties are anywhere from 10-25 cents higher than Russell.
Prices in Adair and Cumberland counties are mostly on par with Russell County.
