Lake Area Foundation Announces Fall Grants Up to $5K for Ten-County Region

The Lake Area Foundation is opening its Fall 2026 Lake Cumberland Area Development Fund grant cycle.

Beginning Thursday, October 1st, eligible applicants may request up to $5,000 for community or economic development projects benefiting counties across the region.

Eligible counties include Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell, Taylor and Wayne. Projects benefiting only Russell County must apply through the separate Russell County Development Fund.

A newly redesigned application is required. Previous forms will not be accepted. Application materials, instructions and helpful resources are available at lakeareafoundation.com.

Applications received by October 28th qualify for a courtesy review for completeness and technical correctness.

The final deadline is four p.m. central time Friday, October 30th. Hard-copy applications must be in the foundation’s possession by that time. Emailed and faxed applications will not be accepted.
