RCMS Baseball defeats Green County

March 25, 2025 Zac Oakes Local Sports

The Russell County Middle School Laker Baseball team picked up a win at home over Green County last night by a score of 9-4.

Raylan McAninch led the way for Russell County with 3 hits, driving in a pair of runs. Parker Brumley and Aidan Huckaby each drove in a pair of runs as well.

Brumley got the start on the mound, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs over 3 innings of work and striking out 4 batters. Keaton Garner entered in relief, giving up 2 runs on 1 hit and striking out 4 as well.

The Lakers look to pick up another win when they go on the road to Monroe County this evening. That one gets underway at 5:30.
