19-year-old convicted on rape, riot charges for Nov. 2022 riot at Adair Youth Development Center

A 19-year-old has been convicted of charges including rape and riot for his role in the November 2022 riot at the Adair Youth Development Center.

19-year-old Demaurion Moore was convicted on Friday. The charges include first-degree rape, complicity to first-degree sodomy, first-degree riot, and other charges.

The jury recommended a 25-year sentence for Moore.

Moore was 17 at the time the crimes occurred and was lodged at the Adair Youth Development Center when the riot occurred.
