Lawson homers, Luttrell strikes out 12 in Lakers win over Adair

The Russell County Lakers knocked off the Adair County Indians at home last night by a score of 4-2.

Nathan Lawson paced the offense with a three-run homerun to lead the Lakers offense while Trace Stringer, Issac Roy, and Bryce Cowell each finished with a pair of hits.

On the mound, Cody Luttrell put together another strong performance, pitching the complete game and giving up two runs on six hits while striking out 12.

The Lakers improved to 14-4 with the win and will go on the road for a district matchup with Cumberland County Thursday night. The Panthers took the first matchup between the two 16th district rivals one week ago by a score of 3-2.
