The Russell Springs City Council will meet Thursday evening with several items of business on the agenda.
Following approval of the previous meeting’s minutes, cash disbursements and financial statements, Mayor Eddie Thomas will make an Anchor Award presentation.
The council is expected to conduct the second reading of an ordinance establishing the annual property tax rates for real estate, motor vehicles, motorboats and other personal property.
The meeting will conclude with monthly reports from Police Chief Brian Shepherd, Fire Chief Bobby Johnson, Economic Development Director Jeramy Coffey and an update on city operations from Mayor Thomas.
The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Russell Springs City Hall. (September 10, 2026)
