The Russell County Lakers boys golf team picked up a big conference victory over Monroe County in its final regular-season match at Hidden Hills Country Club Wednesday evening.
The teams finished tied at 161, with Russell County earning the win through a scorecard playoff.
Gabe Browning led the Lakers with a three-under-par 33. Grider Selby shot a 41, Grant Wilson finished with a 43, Josiah Dudgeon carded a 44 and Gavin Campbell shot a 45.
In other scores for the Laker golfers, Collin Meyers 41, Brockman Carter 45, Riggs Richardson 46, Ben Brown 49, Raylan McAnich 50 and Conner Morrison 53.
The Lakers return to action Monday at Green County Country Club for the conference championship.
