The Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire Monday morning on Oaks Drive, off Damron Creek Road in northern Russell County.
Assistant Fire Chief Mark Barnett told WJRS NEWS firefighters were dispatched at approximately 9:23 a.m. and when crews arrived, they found the home fully engulfed in flames.
Eleven firefighters worked to bring the fire under control, extinguishing the blaze in about an hour. No injuries were reported. Barnett says the home was undergoing renovations at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
