Lisa Gaye Brewster Mitchell, of Louisville, formerly of Russell Springs, passed away on July 22, 2026, at University of Louisville Hospital. She was 63 years of age.
Born on June 23, 1963, in Somerset, she was a daughter of June Campbell Brewster and the late Lyle Brewster. Lisa was baptized on July 14, 1974, and was a member of Russell Springs Christian Church. She was a graduate of Russell County High School and went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. Lisa was an avid UK fan and loved all animals, especially cats.
Survivors include her mother, June Brewster, of Jamestown; her son, Travis Brewster, of Louisville; three grandchildren; one sister, Marisa (and Jerald) Popplewell, of Russell Springs; and one brother, James Brewster, of Indiana.
Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. C.S.T. on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Carroll Egnew officiating. Special music by Debbie Conner. Burial will follow in Bradley’s Pleasure Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the time of services on Monday.
