Chamber of Commerce holds luncheon at new SEED Academy

Several members of the local business community had their first look at the new SEED Academy on French Valley Road yesterday.

The academy serves as a partnership between the Russell County Industrial Development Authority and the Russell County Board of Education. The new facility will give students hands-on experience in advanced agricultural sciences, preparing them for careers in the agri-tech field.

WJRS News caught up with Clint Voils, chair of the Russell County Industrial Development Authority, to talk about the opening of the academy.

The SEED Academy will officially welcome students in August with the beginning of the 26-27 school year.
