The brackets for the 16th District Baseball and Softball tournaments have been released.
The Lakers and Lady Lakers each earned the 2-seed for the tournaments, which are hosted by Metcalfe County this year.
The Lakers will open the tournament against the 3-seed Metcalfe County on Monday. This will be the second game with first pitch scheduled for around 7:30. The first game will see the top-seed Clinton County take on the winner of 4-seed Cumberland County and 5-seed Monroe County.
The Lady Lakers will take on the 3-seed Clinton County beginning at around 7:30 on Monday as well. In the first game, the top-seed Cumberland County will take on the winner of 4-seed Monroe County and 5-seed Metcalfe County.
Both district championship games are scheduled for 6:00 on Tuesday in Metcalfe County.
