Laker Baseball picks up district win at Metcalfe County

The Laker Baseball team picked up a district win on the road last night, defeating Metcalfe County by a score of 14-4

Jace Scaggs finished with a team-high 3 hits on the night. Tanner Stringer, Evan Hutchison, and Ben Kemp each finished with 2 hits. Hutchison and Ben Kemp each drove in a pair of runs. Raylan McAninch and Luke Walters each drove in 2 runs as well.

The Lakers combined for 11 strikeouts on the mound: 6 by Stringer, 3 by Walters, and 2 by Tate Reynolds.

The Lakers and Hornets face off again tonight, with this one taking place at David Rexroat Field. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 this evening and we’ll have the game live on Laker Country 104.9.
