Several local residents are expressing opposition to a proposed solar farm project near Old Sano Road and Bottoms Road.
A company named Round Trip LLC is proposing to construct and operate a solar and battery energy project in the area. The proposed solar park will be located on 450 acres, according to the company.
Several local citizens have expressed opposition to the project. An online petition started within the last week has garnered more than 300 signatures opposing the project.
Organizers of the petition say the expansion of these solar projects threaten natural landscapes, property values, local businesses and future generations.
