Marcum confirms plans to seek reelection as county judge-executive

Russell County Judge-Executive Randy Marcum has announced he plans to seek reelection to the county’s top office.

Marcum was elected judge-executive in 2022, coming out on top of a crowded Republican primary with 6 candidates in May before winning the general election in November.

Marcum was a guest on Community Conversation on WJRS, where he said he will seek a second term in office.

Candidates can begin officially filing paperwork to run for office on November 5.
