Last night’s girls soccer region tournament matchup between Russell County and Warren East came down to a penalty kick shootout, with the Lady Raiders winning the shootout 2-1 to secure a 4-3 victory over the Lady Lakers.
The Lady Lakers and Lady Raiders finished regulation tied 3-3, and were still tied 3-3 following two overtime periods. On the final kick of the penalty kick shootout, the Lady Raiders scored a goal to pick up the win.
Addison Coffey scored three goals for the Lady Lakers. In the shootout, Adriana Thomas scored a goal for Russell County.
The Lady Lakers finish their season with a final record of 15-4-1.
