The Russell County Sheriff’s Office was busy last month, responding to 583 calls for service according to Sheriff Derek Polston.
The department made 61 arrests and responded to 11 domestic calls.
Deputies also performed 140 traffic stops during the month of July and worked 23 traffic accidents.
The department responded to 16 motorist assists and 11 alarm calls, as well as 8 animal complaints and 47 requests for a deputy.
The sheriff’s office performed 8 mental health transports and served 83 court papers.
The sheriff’s office also performed 615 vehicle inspections and issued 16 concealed carry permits.
