The City of Russell Springs is looking to make significant improvements to its water infrastructure.
At last week’s city council meeting, the council approved a resolution for the mayor to apply for a grant that would fund a project to significantly increase the size of one of the city’s water tanks and construct a new 12-inch water line.
Mayor Eddie Thomas gave WJRS News more details.
The city also has another major water project in the works, which would replace the city’s oldest water lines with new lines. Thomas said he wants that project to start in the Old Columbia Road area.
