The Russell Springs Fire Department responded to a fire last Thursday at the Russell Springs Manor Apartments on Main Street.
The fire department said a call came in Thursday at around 4 p.m. regarding a fire in one of the units at the apartment complex.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they discovered a fire in the kitchen area of the unit. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and worked to remove smoke from the apartment.
11 firefighters were on scene for about 45 minutes and no injuries were reported from the fire.
The Russell Springs Police Department assisted on scene.
