The 21st annual Lake Cumberland Bluegrass Festival is set to get underway this weekend.
The festival is held annually during the third weekend of August at the KOA campground in the Eli community.
Each year, the festival brings a variety of local, regional, and national bluegrass artists to Russell County.
This year’s festival gets underway at 6 p.m. on Friday and continues Saturday, with the first group hitting the stage at 2 p.m.
Admission on Friday is $10, and $15 on Saturday. A pass that grants admission for both days can be purchased for $20.
Bluegrass Festival founder and organizer Moochie Hart said she wants the festival to be affordable for everyone and create a family-friendly environment.
As always, U.S. Military veterans and active duty can get in for free on Friday, and children 12 and under can get in free both days.
