Local farmers could find valuable information from the Kentucky Mesonet site.
Shane Hollinde with the Kentucky Mesonet and former chief meteorologist for WBKO in Bowling Green was a guest on Talk Around Town on WJRS yesterday. He said mesonet sites like the one in Russell County can provide valuable information about soil conditions.
Hollinde said the mesonet site also is valuable for providing information about trends in weather and soil conditions.
Mesonet data locally and in other counties can be found on kymesonet.org.
