A Jamestown man was cited for driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash Wednesday evening.
The crash occurred just after 6:45 Wednesday evening in the 1700 block of South Highway 92, or Boat Dock Road, in Jamestown.
Jamestown Police say 55-year-old Ronald T. Langbauer of Jamestown was operating a Nissan Frontier pickup truck south on Highway 92. Police say he drove off the road, struck a mailbox, then pulled the truck back on the road and drove into the opposite lane before driving off the side of the northbound lane.
Police say the truck ended up striking an embankment, causing it to flip before eventually crashing into a business sign.
Langbauer was treated on scene by Russell County EMS, but refused to be transported to the hospital. He was taken into custody by Jamestown Police for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance. Jamestown Police took him to Russell County Hospital to be treated for a head injury.
Police say due to the head injury, he was cited to Russell District Court for driving under the influence.
