Russell Springs Economic Director Jeramy Coffey gave a Shogun restaurant update at the most recent city council meeting.
Coffey said the project went out to bid earlier this month. Bids are open for 30 days and the company is expected to hold a bid opening early in May.
Shogun is planning to open a restaurant near Five Star in Russell Springs. Another restaurant is expected to locate in the same building, but that has not yet been finalized.
Shogun currently has locations in Bowling Green, Glasgow, Elizabethtown and Owensboro.
