Adair woman allegedly solicited juvenile to murder her husband

More details are being released about the arrest of an Adair County woman yesterday.

State Police say 27-year-old Elena K. Bardin of Adair County was a teacher through the school system assigned to the Adair Juvenile Detention Center. They say a routine search of living quarters at the facility revealed Bardin allegedly solicited a juvenile lodged at the facility to murder her husband.

Evidence also revealed that Ms. Bardin had subjected the juvenile to illegal sexual contact and provided him with sexually explicit images of herself.

Bardin is charged with solicitation of murder, sexual abuse first degree, and distribution of obscene matter to a minor.

Bardin remains lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail. The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police.
