RCMS Lakers score 21 runs in win over Monroe

The Russell County Middle School Laker Baseball team had a big night at the plate, scoring 21 runs in a shutout win over Monroe County.

Aidan Huckaby drove in a team-high 4 runs on the night. Keaton Garner drove in 3, and Kellan Wilson, Parker Brumley, Aaron McGowan, and Keenan Stille each drove in 2.

Huckaby, McGowan, Garner, and Raylan McAninch each finished with 2 hits.

Layten Roy pitched 3 shutout innings, giving up just 2 hits and striking out 7 batters.

The middle school Lakers host Corbin Friday night.
