Jamestown Council holds off on decision on Ponderosa Pike, looking to gather more information

The Jamestown City Council met in special session for nearly an hour and 15 minutes to discuss the possibility of taking Ponderosa Pike in as a city street.

After a lengthy discussion with two individuals who own property in the area, Brian Young and Jared Roy, the council opted to table making a decision until a later meeting.

The council cited a need to gather more information on the costs of paving the road and other materials. The council also cited a need to look into the city’s ordinance on how wide a road must be in order to be taken into the city street system.

The Jamestown City Council will hold its next regular meeting on April 17 at 6 p.m. at City Hall.
