As temperatures remain below freezing, there are options available for those in the community in need of warm shelter.
The Russell Springs Fire Department on West Steve Wariner Drive is open as a warming center.
The Russell County Courthouse and Russell County Rescue Squad are also available, as are the Jamestown and Eli Fire Departments.
The courthouse is open to those in need of a warm place to go during regular hours. After hours, if anyone is in need of a warm place to go, county officials recommend they call 911 and first responders will be able to assist.
The Church at the Springs will be open after noon as a warming center for anyone who needs a warm place to stay.
