Adamson receives Governor’s Award for Impaired Driving Enforcement

Russell Springs Police Officer Blake Adamson was one of the recipients of this year’s Governor’s Award for Impaired Driving Enforcement.

Adamson received the award for having the most impaired driving arrests in the department in 2024.

He was recognized at a ceremony in Lexington recently with law enforcement officers from across the state.

According to the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety, last year in Kentucky there were more than 4,300 total crashes involving an impaired driver, resulting in more than 2,000 injuries and 181 deaths.
