A Waynesburg woman was arrested on drug charges by Russell Springs Police on Tuesday.
According to Russell Springs Police, 46-year-old Melissa A. Roy was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of a prescription substance not in the proper container.
According to reports, Russell Springs Police Officer Vance Davis responded to a call just before noon Tuesday of a woman asleep in a car at a local business. After making it to the scene, Davis arrested Roy on the drug charges.
Roy was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
