Somerset man facing several charges after possessing 40+ pounds of marijuana

A Somerset man is facing several charges following a marijuana bust.

According to Somerset Police, 39-year-old Christopher Ford was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana more than 5 pounds, assaulting a police officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, menacing and resisting arrest.

Somerset Police reportedly intercepted a package addressed to Ford containing around 27 pounds of marijuana. Following up on the package, officers executed a search warrant at Ford’s residence which led to the seizure of another 14 pounds of marijuana, more than 50 edible gummies, more than 30 THC cartridges and more than 20 containers of marijuana wax, along with $29,000.

Ford was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
