One-vehicle crash sends Russell Springs man to hospital

A mechanical issue was to blame for a one-vehicle injury crash on Thursday morning in Jamestown, according to Jamestown Police Chief Jeff Kerns.

Jamestown Police were dispatched to the scene of the wreck at 6:15 yesterday morning on Hwy. 619, near the intersection of 619 and McFalls Road. Upon arrival, police determined that Daniel Coenen, age 41, of Russell Springs, was driving a 2011 Hyundai and experienced a mechanical issue which forced him to lose control of the vehicle and crash into an embankment.
