Air quality still an issue locally from Canadian wildfires

As smoke from the Canadian wildfires continues to make its way into the United States, the smoke is creating issues for air quality.

According to the U.S. Air Quality Index, a division of the United States EPA, Russell County is still included in the unhealthy for sensitive groups category,

Sensitive groups include: people with lung disease such as asthma, older adults, children and teenagers, and people who are active outdoors.

These individuals are asked to reduce prolonged or heavy outdoor exertion, take more breaks and watch for symptoms such as coughing or shortness of breath.
