71 new Covid cases reported in Russell County

The Kentucky Department for Public Health reported 71 new COVID cases in Russell County on Monday.

Neighboring Pulaski County was among the top 20 counties in the state with the highest number of Covid cases at 181.

Wayne County reported 128 cases, Adair had 94 cases, Casey had 65, Clinton had 36, and Cumberland had 18.

The state also reported 17 individuals hospitalized, including four in intensive care, in the Lake Cumberland area with COVID-19.

The statewide positivity rate was listed at 20.07 percent. The state also reported a 13.33 percent positivity rate in Russell County.
